In addition to numerous facilitations for blue chip corporate clients, I teach annually at the UCT Graduate School of Business (Executive MBA and Masters in Philosophy in Inclusive Innovation) and am an internationally certified DDI training facilitator for over 60 accredited workshops from strategy to communication skills. I offer the following Leadership, Personal Growth and Team Performance training to corporate clients:
- Self-Mastery through The Enneagram & Advanced Team Dynamics
The Enneagram is a life-changing archetypal typology that offers in-depth insight into individuals with the “keys” to enhance self-mastery and team mastery. It is rooted in ancient traditions and encompasses the intelligence of mind, body, heart and spirit. It is a multi-dimensional typology which acknowledges the complexity of being human. Today it is used by many executive leadership coaches and psychologists around the world, and extensively by corporate organisations to enhance our knowledge of self and others, enabling us to interact more effectively and empathetically. It is an insightful tool because it helps us to understand who we really are in light and shadow, and is based on the principle that there are nine personality masks or “ways of seeing the world”. Liberation and growth of self is unlocked through understanding our individual fixations and how to be free of them. The workshop is dynamic in nature and brings forth the content through powerful multi-media and experienced coach facilitation.
Outcomes: Removing “blind spots” to identify self-knowledge: development areas and strengths which enhances both self-mastery and team performance.
- The Role of Self-Love in Leadership (based on my MBA research and published book)
- Boosting our Human Productivity through Excellence
- Positive thinking for peak performance: Changing limiting thought patterns

- Any other human effectiveness development/engagement topic that addresses an organisational need
Workshop material is based on both academic and practitioner research. Topics, content and communication are tailored for organisational need and strategy.
What makes my offering unique?
An authentic, personal experience of business and company strategy in both global and local contexts, together with experience in human development, means that I am effectively able to translate academic research into practical solutions for companies, aligned to both employee needs and company business performance needs. In addition to my corporate experience, my diverse training and experience from global senior corporate executive to yoga and meditation teacher, enriches my service offering with lateral thinking and creativity.
Why is it relevant to business and personal growth today?
Human engagement is in essence the search by both organisations and individuals for that golden secret to unlocking the very highest potential within themselves. Far from being a soft “nice to have” consideration, various studies have shown that high levels of engagement contribute significantly to the success of an organisation through yielding measurable benefits such as cost savings, revenue increase, share price growth, customer loyalty, retention and greater productivity generated by higher levels of employee commitment, creativity and a willingness to go the extra mile. Research shows that higher levels of engagement results in employees displaying a 20% improvement in performance and an 87% reduced likelihood of leaving.
Future work trends show that that the need for engagement will continue to grow in importance. These trends include different needs and wants from Generations X and Y; increasing emphasis on greater productivity in the face of fewer people, larger roles; increasing reliance on virtual communication; and the evolution of the psychological contract between employees and employers from traditional transactional models to relational partnerships.
The challenge is that engagement remains a globally elusive concept to pin down, cultivate and measure. While the focus is commonly on corporate culture and job design, my focus is on the person, underpinned by research which shows that engagement is ultimately a human choice that depends on intrinsic as well as extrinsic factors.
